Who am I?

Hi, I’m Michelle Turnage Payne — a multidisciplinary artist inspired by childhood memories and playful creativity. I work with ceramics, textiles, and mixed media to create interactive art that sparks joy and connection. My work in According To Myself, invites viewers to smile, explore, and remember what it feels like to be a kid again. More recently, I have been exploring surface textures in clay and spending time introducing people to the joys of clay!
